Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the Filmithila application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Filmithila is a licensed video streaming platform offering Nepali films and related content. We provide the Service under subscription, rental, or purchase models as described in the application.

2. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• One account per person — account sharing to circumvent subscription limits is prohibited

3. Subscriptions and Payments

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
• You may cancel at any time; access continues until the current period ends
• Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice
• Refunds are provided in accordance with applicable law and our refund policy
• We do not store payment card details — payments are processed by our certified payment partners

4. Permitted Use

You may use the Service only for personal, non-commercial viewing. You may not:

• Download, copy, or redistribute any content
• Attempt to circumvent DRM, screen recording protection, or any other technical measure
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service on more devices simultaneously than your plan allows
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Use automated tools to access or scrape the Service
• Attempt to record content using any means (screen recording, external camera, capture card)

5. Content Licensing

All content on Filmithila is licensed from rights holders. Filmithila grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to stream content for personal viewing only. This licence does not transfer any ownership rights. Content availability may change based on licensing agreements.

6. Anti-Piracy and Content Protection

Filmithila implements technical protection measures including:

• OS-level screenshot and screen recording prevention on Android and iOS
• Short-lived signed streaming URLs bound to your account and device
• Concurrent stream limits enforced server-side
• DRM (Widevine / FairPlay) for applicable content
• Device binding and playback session management

Attempting to circumvent these protections is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination and possible legal action under applicable copyright law.

7. Concurrent Streams

Your subscription plan specifies the maximum number of devices that may stream simultaneously. Exceeding this limit will result in new streams being denied until existing streams are stopped. Systematic abuse of account sharing may result in account suspension.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Transmit malware or engage in any activity that disrupts the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Impersonate another person or entity

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, attempt to circumvent content protection, engage in fraudulent activity, or as required by law. You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your licence to access content ceases immediately.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that specific content will be available at all times, or that the Service meets your specific requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Filmithila's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amounts paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.
